  • Frecce connections to/from Rome Fiumicino Airport

    With Frecciarossa service, it is possible to reach Rome Fiumicino “Leonardo Da Vinci” International Airport directly from other Italian city centres with no need to change trains. 

    Frecciarossa services connect the airport of the Italian capital to the city centres of Florence, Bologna, Padua and Venice and, brand new this Summer, Naples.

    There is no ‘Welcome Drink’ service between Fiumicino Airport and Rome Termini.

  • Connections from the city centre to Rome Fiumicino Airport on the Leonardo express and FL1

    The following train services can be used to reach Rome Fiumicino Airport by train:

    • Leonardo express, a non-stop service that connects Roma Termini station to Rome Fiumicino Airport in just 32 minutes.
    • FL1, which connects Rome’s main transport hub stations, including Roma Tiburtina (in 48 minutes), with departures every 15 minutes on working days and every 30 minutes on Sundays and public holidays.


    Children under 12 years of age accompanied by a paying adult travel for free.

    Trains on the FL1 line will take you to the main stations in Rome, including Roma Termini and Roma Tiburtina, where you can continue your journey to other destinations.

    In the airport, you can buy tickets for all your train journeys from:

    • the Trenitalia ticket office, open 7 days a week from 6.45 a.m. to 10.12 p.m.
    • the Self Service machines
